Developing sustainable nightlife spaces for Tiohtià:ke/Montréal.
PARQUETTE (PILOT PROJECT)
Operating on a short term (year-to-year) lease, Parquette seeks to provide immediate space for alternative art & nightlife communities. The pilot project also explores the viability of new models for collective organizing.
2025 SURVEY
This followup to FANTOM’s 2023 survey sought to quantify issues surrounding access to space for alternative nightlife. It also explored interactions between city policy and challenges associated with organized nightlife.
LONG-TERM SPACE INITIATIVE
Accompanied by Rayside Labossière, FANTOM is proud to support the development of a new space dedicated to culture and joy on the territory of Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, collectively-imagined by a cross-disciplinary group of artists, designers, and researchers.
We thank Alex Blue V., Amai Moïse, Danji Buck-Moore, Fernanda Alvarez, and Tiana McLaughlan for contributing to the foundational vision and values for this project.
